RPG Cover Art now available as desktop wallpaper, poster
Posted by iago at April 28, 2005 06:13 PM

The cover art for the Dresden Files Role-playing Game, from artist David Seidman of Lunar Light Studios, is in! David put in some fantastic, hard work on this piece and we're really excited about it.

We're so excited about it we had to offer folks the chance to buy posters of the cover art at Cafe Press! You can get a version of the art as free wallpaper for your PC too.

Check it out!

its all right but... I don't know I always pictured michael as a bit more jockish you know
the warrior build and all that. harry doesn't quite
look right either. I always pictured him taller and a lighter skin tone like some one who is out at night or spends a lot of time in a lab. I think they nailed murphy pretty good though. over all no I don't really like it but I don't care if comes covered in old news papers I can't wait to play the game.

Pen & paper!

Is it pen and paper or VG or what?

In response to Kim, I believe he uses his left hand to absorb energy/magic and his right hand to release it. I could be wrong, though.

The cover art is amazing!!! I think all the characters look dead on - even Harry. He has the perfect look. The details are amazing and you guys should download the wallpapaer to get a closer look. You'll notice a ton of things you can't see in the small pic. Can't wait to get my hands on this!!!!!

Oooh, this RPG looks cool. I love Michael looking just like that, but I don't picture Harry like that really. This guy looks more like a rugged Ben Stiller :p. I see Harry as younger, leaner, kinda handsome, with five 0'clock shadow going on.

How about posting some of Michael Kucharski's character studies from the Dresden Files RPG? Seidman's cover is nice, but I'd have preferred Kucharski do the cover art.

I like the detail of the demons and bad guys. Michael is awesome!
Just a couple of quirks for me though. Doesn't Harry use his left hand? And his face reminds me of the sidekick from Count of Monte Cristo (movie). I always thought of Harry as being leaner and taller, kinda like the newest book cover. Murphy isn't quite as "cute and perky" looking either. Overall, it's good but doesn't quite do it for me

See the Press Release:

"The Dresden Files RPG is scheduled for release in the summer of 2006."

So any rough idea on a release date of the Dresden Rpg?

My gaming group has seriously considered adapting Call of cthulhu, rules to fit to the setting however if this is coming out reasonably soon. I think we will wait.

Weird. Worked fine on my mac. Which version of the wallpaper did you select on the page behind the link?

Posted by: Fred Hicks at April 29, 2005 01:40 AM

Ummmm, nice. But I can't download that on my Mac. Even choosing the "Download to Desktop" option resulted in a nothing.
