SUMMER KNIGHT AUDIO BOOK
Posted by shannon at May 16, 2006 06:06 PM

Buzzy Multimedia (www.mediafans.com) is producing the audio version of SUMMER KNIGHT, book 4 of the Dresden Files. There is no word yet about who will be reading the book, but as soon as we know, we’ll announce it here.

Comments

I discovered "The Dresden Files" via the Sci Fi Channel and instantly fell in love w/ the series. I'm also a steadfast "Buffyverse" Fan. Imagine the cheese-eating grin on my face when I found out that James Marsters was reading books written by Jim Butcher. I rushed to the local library and checked out every single audio book they had (at the time Small Favor was the only one.) It's better than peanut butter meeting chocolate. This is a perfect match. Keep writing excellent books, Jim and keep James (and his smoky baritone voice) reading them.

I just read on the James Marsters website that he is going to be reading Summer Knight!

The (audio)books get shipped to Holland everytime one is released (friends and family know what to get me as gifts, they're trained well ;) ).

I think everyone here agrees, it's supposed to be read by James Marsters. He got me hooked on the books and the story of Harry Dresden. No one else can do Bob or Toot Toot the way James does.

"Preved Medved"......which is obviously Ukrainian for "Get James Marsters, please!!" :D

After listening to the first three books, I'm going to add my voice to the broken record of comments... JAMES MARSTERS please, Please, PLEASE read the rest of the series to us!

I really did enjoy James Marsters reading the other 3 books. I really hope they can get him back.

Like many others here I wouldn`t even know the fantastic Harry Dresden novels without James Marsters reading them. He has done an excellent job so far and I hope he will be reading ALL the others too. James really brought Harry to life and I can`t imagine a voice other than his. It`s very unlikely that I would buy "Summer Knight" if anyone else read it.

If it weren't for James Marsters, I would not have found the Harry books. I found the first audio book at a Buffy convention when James Marsters was there. I only got it because he read it! Now I'm hooked on Harry! If they get someone else to read them, I will just stick with the paper books.

I seriously hope that they get James Marsters to finish reading the rest of the series. I listen to him everynight reading the Harry books to me. I probably won't buy the new ones if he doesn't read them, I will just stick with the books.

After reading this announcement, I re-listened to all the other audio books and I agree with the others - James Must Do It! His reading got me hooked on Jim's writing and if he won't play our beloved Harry, the least he can do is continue to read the books. Afterall, to me he is the voice of Harry and Bob!

I've been waiting for the next Dresden audiobook. Mine is the same story of many others who were introduced to Dresden's world through James Marsters' perfect reading. It's very unlikely that I'd buy the audiobooks read by any other than James.

OMG is SK the one where Harry actually says (re: his rod and staff) "I just like them. They make me feel all manly"? I've been dying to hear James read that line. All of the meta will kill me ded.

I, too, hope that James Marsters will perform the rest of the Dresden series on audio CDs.

If I hadn't been such a James Marsters fan, I probably would not have even been introduced to the Dresden series. I found out about the Desden audio books in an article about James.

I just wish they would produce them faster. I have really enjoyed the series so far and want more.

I have all the others audio books, I cannot imagine anyone else's voice as Harry Dresden other than James Marsters. James makes the book come to life in his readings of the story and his voice is very easy to listen to.

I hope they can talk James into doing this book too. His voice fits it perfectly and it seems he really enjoys doing it.I would be such a shame, though i'll still buy it if he doesn't.

Posted by: Brittany at May 20, 2006 05:26 PM

Hopefully it will be James as he was excellent with the first 3 Dreden Files audiobooks.

Posted by: Lisa at May 19, 2006 06:29 PM

Obviously, it's all up to James whether he does it or not. But if he says no, I'm ripping apart my Spike life-size cardboard-cutout. Though, I get the feeling that he likes the books and enjoys doing the audiobooks (the only thing keeping him from the movie was the location, so I'm told).

*Fingers crossed*

Its just got to be James, he's done all of them so far.

Posted by: Kacie at May 18, 2006 04:06 PM

Please get James for the voice ,in the Dresden DVD.Only James can do it.

Posted by: Marla at May 18, 2006 03:09 PM

I hope it's James again. It wouldn't be the same if it wasn't!

Please Please I hope they get James Marsters he was so good!

Posted by: Elese Archibald at May 17, 2006 01:44 PM
