You should come to Dallas. We have like no cool authors that ever come to Dallas.

Posted by: Micah at May 3, 2007 01:22 PM

When are you coming to Chicago! How can they not have you booked here on your tour when the Dresden Files are SET in Chicago? You must come!

I discovered the Dresden Files through the t.v. series, but now I am reading the books, and love them. Just finished White Night. Bravo!!!

Posted by: Mary at April 23, 2007 03:51 PM

How can you not come to Denver, home of one of the biggest book stores on the planet, The Tattered Cover? Please, please!

Posted by: Judith Brownlee at April 23, 2007 12:12 PM

Hey, All these moans and whinges... I'm just so ecstatically glad the next book is out!!! Thanks :-)

Posted by: Jasel at April 11, 2007 03:38 PM

Hey if your stopping off in Chicago(it's Harry's hometown! Come on!) South Bend is just a short train ride away, and we'd love to have you!

Posted by: Robin at April 7, 2007 08:51 PM

Orlando weather is really nice this time of year.

Posted by: cybrgrl at April 7, 2007 01:11 AM

Where are the East Coast dates? How about a Boston stop?

Posted by: Jeff at April 6, 2007 03:10 PM

I would love it If Jim would come to Arkansas, oh well I guess I'll just have to gas up and head to St. Louis

Posted by: Chris aka Sandpanther at April 3, 2007 09:36 PM

Hey, Don't forget the Motor City!! Deeetroit.
By the way I agree with the Chicago guy, I mean Harry is in Chicago, give the windy city it's due!

Posted by: Jean at April 3, 2007 12:34 PM

I'm jumping on the bandwagon - Come to Harry's hometown, Jim! Chicago would love to have you! I'd like to plug Barbara's Bookstore, at 1218 South Halsted, as a great venue. They're great about hosting authors!

Posted by: Kristy Rieger at March 31, 2007 11:48 PM

Boston - Home to the literary Lepers. WE never get anybody - BHD's, authors - *sigh*

Jim, next time can you ask Penguin to show the love to the East coast?

Posted by: Shelley at March 29, 2007 08:11 PM

Please, please, please come to some place in Indiana sometime. I know a few of us that would love to meet you. I am trying to get more. Thank you.

Posted by: steve at March 27, 2007 06:25 PM

Come back to Hamilton/Fairfield Ohio, Jim! Come on, please?

Posted by: Jackie & John at March 23, 2007 02:01 PM

Yeah! You're coming to Pheonix! My friend and I were so excited that you were coming to Arizona. We were actually talking about flying out to California but now we don't have to. We can't wait for April 15. Love your books!

Posted by: Jaime at March 21, 2007 03:19 AM

Hey, how about coming to OKLAHOMA CITY?! No one EVER comes here! I think people are under the impression that we are all still rolling around in covered wagons and playing Cowboys and Indians! LOL!

Posted by: KickButtBooks at March 19, 2007 05:19 PM

Hey, can we get Penguin's email so we can contact the people with the Scheduling cash?

Love to see you in Texas some time - Your books are GREAT!

Posted by: Nancy at March 18, 2007 07:12 PM

Posted by: Nancy at March 18, 2007 07:11 PM

Chicago would seem like a must to me also!

Posted by: Jeanne Vahl at March 14, 2007 03:42 PM

Glad you're making it to Minneapolis!

Posted by: Xana at March 14, 2007 03:37 PM

By all means, get in touch with your local bookstores and have THEM get in touch with Penguin to try to set up a visit. Then the next time they send me out on a tour, I'm far more likely to actually appear. :)

This one is the publisher-sponsored tour, so all the signings are set up through Penguin--which means that they do all the scheduling and so on. I'm generally happy to show up on Penguin's dime, since they have a fairly huge corporate PR budget, but that kind of protracted, city-hopping, all-hotel, all-restaurant, all-taxi travel is sort of intimidating to a personal bank account. :)

Posted by: Jim Butcher at March 14, 2007 02:23 PM

Here in Oklahoma, I have a good friend who works for a major bookseller and I have personally recommended Harry and Company to ALL my friends and Co-workers. The fans are here, Jim, all you need to do is come and feel the Love.

Posted by: Fred DeCamp at March 14, 2007 02:22 AM

comon you've gota hit some where down south if not south carolina than some where around down hear, me and some of my friends would be willing cross a few state lines so comon please, pretty please with sugar, hot fuge, carmal, marshmalows, sprinkles, blueberry waffles, meatballs, hunny glazed ham, pecans, and a cherry on top! ¢¼¢À¢¼

Posted by: captan obvious at March 13, 2007 07:37 PM

What about PA or OH? How about a visit to the verdant forests and hills of Appalachian mountains? I figure, we should have just as many fans here as everywhere else. Please?

Posted by: Serge T at March 12, 2007 05:07 PM

Jim, I know that there are tons of comments here already, but, man, you have so many Texas fans! I live in the DFW area, but I would make the trip just about anywhere in Texas in order to get a book signed by you. Where's the love, Jim? Where's the love?

Posted by: Aaron Knight at March 12, 2007 10:29 AM

I wish some writers would come to West Texas/Southern New Mexico. But I guess they figure we can't read here or something. Just kiddin', I know it's not a big money place. But even Albuquerque would be doable and no one goes there much either. 8 hours to Phoenix or Scottsdale is just too much for old crippled cranky folks like me. *sigh* Have fun, ya'll!

Posted by: Mad Monica at March 9, 2007 10:09 PM

As much as I would enjoy meeting the author.
To have a signing everywhere would take a lot of time.

Would be nice if each tour is a different area though, eventually he would hit somewhere close by us all.

Posted by: Charles at March 8, 2007 12:54 AM

Jim,

Maybe you could make it to Louisville, KY first Saturday in May - do a Friday signing then spend the following Saturday enjoying the Kentucky Derby. Keep up the excellent work and I hope White Night brings you even more success than you've already had!

Posted by: Mark Reynolds at March 7, 2007 09:19 PM

I also vote for a visit to Chicago! How could you not stop here!

Posted by: Mel at March 7, 2007 10:40 AM

So, Instead of the Borders in Overland Park, you should come North of the river, and do the book signing at the Borders on Barry road.

Posted by: Tiwaz at March 5, 2007 10:27 PM

i know its a long shot, any chance of a visit to the uk?! got a big fan base here. thanks for the great reads, looking forward to seeing the series when its released on dvd or wotnot.

Texas never gets any love, Houston is the 4th largest city in the country, please come!

Posted by: Mark Fritzenschaft at March 2, 2007 02:24 PM

How can you do a west coast tour and not stop somewhere in the SF Bay Area? Out of Millions of people I'm sure I'm not the only Butcher fan around here.

Posted by: Stanford at February 28, 2007 07:02 PM

Does Denver never get any love

Posted by: Kenny at February 28, 2007 06:16 PM

Yes for Chicago! It would be appropriate since Harry lives here, somewhere.

Posted by: sparkly at February 28, 2007 11:39 AM

according to the local borders (Creve Coeur Missouri) Jim is going to be here Thursday March 1 for a signing but that isn't listed on the "signing tour" ... they aren't wrong are they?

Posted by: Dan Barbatti at February 27, 2007 07:00 PM

Jim's at two east coast conventions in March, prior to this trip.

Posted by: Fred Hicks at February 27, 2007 05:14 PM

Darn it. Do Fans on the east cost not count or something? Why do authors NEVER come to the east coast or the New England region?!

Posted by: Sanglent at February 27, 2007 04:57 PM

New Jersey!! New Jersey rocks! Please? We're waaaay more than the Turnpike, really.

Posted by: Scotty at February 27, 2007 12:40 PM

Hope you'll swing around Houston, TX sometime. Would love to meet ya and get a book signed.
:)

Posted by: Nikki at February 27, 2007 12:35 PM

Jim, please come to Orlando and save us! The mouse and aging boy bands have teemed up to kill us all with commercialized monotony. We need Harry's magic touch!(Oh, and we'd love to see you too.)

Posted by: Lynne at February 26, 2007 06:17 PM

Florida is nice that time of year, and you can bring your family to Disney World and Sea World, and you can hit two major cities(Orlando and Tampa).

Hope to see you out here.

Posted by: Bobbyearl at February 26, 2007 09:04 AM

I live in Texas, and would like to get an autographed copy of the book. Will there be extra copies signed for purchase? I would be intrested in this if it was.

Posted by: Tim at February 25, 2007 09:27 PM

Ruby, I'm with you! What about the MD state?

Posted by: ldy_silver at February 25, 2007 07:24 PM

What!? Not gonna be in the SF,Ca Bay Area?! Bob would love this place! Think about it!

Posted by: Chris at February 25, 2007 01:29 PM

Yes, please come to New England, to Pandemonium Books. It's a wonderful place that loves all things weird and sci-fi with it's whole heart. And, where I bought my first copy of 'Storm Front' then all the others. It's also in financial trouble, after a move coupled with red tape.... Two good deeds in one!

Posted by: Ann McCann at February 25, 2007 11:50 AM

There are many, many fans in Houston, Texas! Just a suggestion.... ;)

Second the Florida idea!

Posted by: Craig at February 25, 2007 01:24 AM

Don't forget all us fans in Utah! We would love to meet you too!

Posted by: Leah at February 24, 2007 07:25 PM

How about Md? Baltimore even? :)

Posted by: ruby at February 24, 2007 06:27 PM

Jim's going to be down in North Carolina next month for StellarCon: http://www.stellarcon.org/home (March 9th-11th)

... and up in New York state a few weeks later for I-CON: http://www.iconsf.org/ (March 23-25)

That seems to give the eastern seaboard at least *some* showing. It's just not part of the post-release White Night gig!

Posted by: Fred Hicks at February 24, 2007 05:53 PM

Is there any chance that Jim has Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC on his itinerary?

Posted by: The Doctor at February 24, 2007 05:46 PM

I second the 'come to New England Comment' Visit UMASS Amherst!!! My whole creative writing class would join you as well as the UMASS science fiction society.

Visit MA!

Posted by: Leah Romano at February 24, 2007 04:19 PM

What about your old home state of Oklahoma? Man, it would be awesome to get my copy of Storm Front (which has a nifty gold sticker saying 'Oklahoma Author' on it) signed!

Posted by: Curthos at February 24, 2007 04:12 PM

Florida would be nice too. There are a lot of Dresden fans here!!!

Posted by: Toni at February 24, 2007 03:00 PM

How about Northern California, like Sacramento?

Posted by: Mike Schlofner at February 24, 2007 02:23 PM

Jeez it sure would be nice if he could make it to New England too.... we like sci-fi too!

Posted by: pwrbkdude at February 24, 2007 02:14 PM

When is Jim going to make it to Chicago? I mean, Harry LIVES in Chicago and we would LOVE to see him come here. It is only fitting. Don't you think?
