I just did DVD commentaries for "Rules of Engagement" and "Things That Go Bump" with Paul and Michael Grossman the other day, so I'd say DVDs are 99.99% likely.

Love the Dresden file books and tv show & cannot wait to get more. Can anyone give me release dates for the books and Dvd's in the U.K. as they seem to be along way behind the U.S. release dates ?

I got pulled in with the show, then read all of the books. Murphy works as a brunette, the hockey stick is fitting as a staff, but where is the duster? I actually like Bob as a ghost, visually he works better. I understand why it would be hard to have Mouse, but I hope Mister will be introduced soon. I eagerly await the DVD's.

Loved the books, read them first and was thrilled to bits by every page.
Awaited the Series with some trepidation but again happy to say that it was awesome.
Particularly liked a couple of the 'tweaks' that came in with the series, the drumstick wand and the Hockey-stick staff made me chuckle and worked well in the T.V. setting. The old jeep in place of the beetle was really cool too.
All in all bring on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th seasons and more, but a little closer to the books stories maybe?

I was completely dubious about the TV show after watching one episode online - not good enough, not focused on magic enough, yadda yadda. I watched two episodes online - and now I am desperately happy that they are going to be releasing the DVDs.

Those stinkers got me addicted!:p Ahhh!:)

I've been a fan of the books for quite some time so was quite pleased to see that it's become a hit TV series. Just wish that the people that make the decisions for the shows would stick a little closer to the book. Murphy should be a blonde and please get rid of the stupid hockey stick and give Harry back his staff. Thanks for MANY hours of enjoyment for which I look forward to many more. Thanks!

Love, Love, Love, Harry Dresden. I love the books. Thank you, Jim. The TV series is fantastic. Paul Blackthorne is the perfect Harry. I have written to the network and signed the petition begging for more Dresden. I can't wait for the next book and for the DVD to be released.
But Please Please let there be a Season Two.

I really love the show. I wasn't aware of the books, but I think the show is awesome. Each episode is better than the last. Although I missed the first 2. Please, Please, Please bring it back for Season 2, 3, 4, 5, etc...

The show was improve in the last 5 shows. It still need some work. Bob is all wrong. Where is his cat? You need to do it like the book. Then you will have a better fan base. I do not know about the DVD but changes need to be address.

Strong DVD sales keep a show on the air as much as anything else these days!!! PLUS a $39.99 SRP means that a lot of places will have it for around $30!!!!!!

Posted by: Lesley at May 16, 2007 02:35 PM

Yea! Congrats to the successful tv series. Keep the books comin', Jim! I'm on my hands and knees begging for a season 2!

Posted by: Jessi at May 16, 2007 01:22 PM

So is the original pilot the two hour episode we read about early on? That would be very cool. I'm in no matter what!

Bring on more Dresden (and Codex of Alera and anything else Jim wants to throw at us!)

We get the pilot! And commentaries! I can't wait until August! I didn't start watching until Soul Beneficiary, so I've got a lot of catching up to do.

Posted by: Jean at May 16, 2007 11:45 AM

Awesome! I missed the last two episodes because Comcast messed up the airing and showed reruns instead of the new ones. I'm going to pre-order as soon as it's available! Please let there be a seaosn 2....
