*woe* I leave California 3 days before the signings. I think I'm doomed to never meet one of my biggest heroes :(

If i hadn't already booked my flights back to Australia when this was announced, I so would've stuck around in San Fran or San Diego.

Well when I lived in CA, the closest he ever came was a 3 1/2 hr drive from where I lived. Now I live in TX and he goes to Houstan, there's no love for us landlocked North Texans :(. Oh well at least he tours in the country where I live.

Finally, he's coming to Chicago!

I am seriously pumped. :D

Gee, some of you fans in the tri-state area missed out in 2006. We had Jim at Lunacon that year as our Writer GOH and it was in New Jersey.
We had a very nice time with Jim and his lovely wife and I still have the buttons to prove it.

Posted by: Dom at February 7, 2008 04:39 PM

Eh. No love for Wichita, KS either. Just down the road...

Hi Jim

I am a big fan of the Dresden books .. I have them all .. but I live in New Zealand is there any chance of you selling some signed copies online to those of us a chance to buy signed copies who dont live in America. I brought two copies of Thomas's story as soon as it went online.

I just love Harry

2 reason for no east coast/ New England
1 Jim and cars is not a good mix
(Jim's motion sickness is well known)
2 He was at ICON last year and that is/was in Stony Brook New York

Posted by: Scooter at February 2, 2008 11:24 AM

when are you coming to England Jim you have fans over hear as well

Posted by: sam at February 2, 2008 10:09 AM

NY is waiting for you. NY! NY! We are friendly SF/Fantasy loving people!

Posted by: sharon at February 1, 2008 11:24 PM

Hmm... maybe Jim's publisher should read this thing every now and then... Come on, give us some EAST COAST love!!! (O-H-I-O)

Posted by: Adam Beamer at February 1, 2008 07:15 PM

You're totally right -- that convention in Virginia's not on the east coast!

:P

Come on guys, it's not like Jim has control over where his publisher sends him.

Posted by: Fred Hicks at February 1, 2008 01:12 PM

New York City is also a nice place to visit with a large population density, and therefore person for person would probably have the greatest number of fans. I can speak for at least...three.

Posted by: James Chapman at January 31, 2008 09:23 PM

Seriously? Jim! EAST COAST! There is this whole regional called "New England" and people there buy books... There are some actual writers, little known ones, like Dan Brown that live there. Maybe you should visit?

Posted by: Dan at January 31, 2008 09:19 PM

Yo , Jim,
Read books 1-3. You the man. Come on out with
the new one, Small Favor and it's on.

Posted by: Andrew at January 31, 2008 08:23 PM

You guys feel left out? I live in the UK and am a huge fan. I NEVER see any Butcher Love. Sigh

Posted by: Tracey at January 31, 2008 01:04 PM

I agree, we need some love out on the east coast...how about the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia?

Posted by: Bill at January 31, 2008 10:53 AM

You people and your complaining, what about us fans in CANADA!! (especially Ottawa...)

Posted by: Lena at January 31, 2008 10:08 AM

I never see any Cincinnati love from any of the great authors.

Posted by: Matt at January 31, 2008 05:04 AM

No New England love. Sad! How can I hobnob with Jim in person if he doesn't come to New England and the Rockefellers insist that I'm not an heir?! :)

Posted by: mony at January 31, 2008 02:39 AM

What a terrific birthday present for me! Jim will be here in AZ the day before my birthday! Thanks!

Posted by: Penelope Bienek at January 31, 2008 02:11 AM

Right! We love Jim Butcher here in New England and we are getting no tour love. Please! Please! Come visit the East Coast. There are loads of fun things to see here and loads of lovely book stores.

Hey Jim!
I can't wait to get my hands on your new Dresden Files book, Small Favor. But I'd like to ask you a quick question... Have you ever thought about having a book signing in Ohio?? Just curious.
Thanks!
Adam Beamer

Why no love for the east coast?
