Turn Coat sample chapters!
Posted by priscellie at February 9, 2009 10:11 PM
The first of five Turn Coat sample chapters will be posted here at midnight MDT tonight! That's 2AM EST, 1AM Central, 11PM Pacific, and 7AM GMT. We'll be posting new chapters of Turn Coat, one new chapter every Tuesday, for the next five weeks. Turn Coat arrives April 7th. Pre-order it in hardcover or audio format through the Jim-Butcher.com store! Discuss the sample chapters with other fans on the forum here. CommentsWoohoo! Like every good dealer, the first hit is free... Well OK,I guess the first 5 are free! Now comes the tedium of w..a..i..t..i..n..g.. for the delivery of the rest of this much anticipated literary addiction! Posted by: Piotr1600 at March 19, 2009 01:19 AMI should not have read the sample chapters- now I can not wait for the book and I have 3 weeks ahhhhhh Posted by: cory at March 16, 2009 10:24 PMAmazing....I can't wait to get this at the Midnight release in Oakbrook, IL. Also, can't wait to meet you Jim. I'm continuously amazed and inspired by your writings, both Dresden and Alera. Keep them coming! Posted by: Steve at March 16, 2009 04:14 PMI just cannot wait for Turncoat to come out. My husband and I race to see who reads the chapters here first. Luckily for me he is on midnight turn most of the time so I get to. Thanks Jim! This looks like yet another terrific read! While we are all impatiently waiting for this next Dresden adventure, I'd suggest checking out the Felix Castor series by Mike Carey. Think of him as an English version of Harry, slightly rougher around the edges and a reluctant exorcist. It's not the Dresden Files, but it just may get you through the waiting. :-) U.S. titles include: Waaaahhhhhh! Why oh why did I start reading the sample chapters!!! Geez, I want more!!!! I'm at work trying not to grit my teeth and scream in frustration!! Or is it sheer longing? Sigh! See you in Ann Arbor Jim! Melissa Gaye Posted by: Melgaye at March 3, 2009 01:58 PMMORE SAMPLE CHAPTERS MORE MORE MORE!!!! THE PRECIOUS SAMPLE CHAPTERS... I NEEEEEEEEED THEM Posted by: Garrett Birch at March 2, 2009 11:13 PMGarrett -- if you're only eleven, then now's a good time to start watchin' that mouth. You'll notice Harry only curses was the situation calls for it! :) Posted by: Jacob at February 25, 2009 09:52 PMJim, reading your books got me through a month in the hospital (with no food). You're the dude and i cant wait tor the next one!
damn. can't you just say to hell with publisher and release it earlier. Im getting frustrated of no new dresden novel (i got Princep's Fury for christmas). Dear Jim, Thanks for the promise of another good Dresden novel! Posted by: Lisa at February 21, 2009 03:11 PMI came (very) late to the Dresden-verse and had catch-up to do - read all 10 novels back to back in a week ..then...as I adore James Marsters I got the audio books. James has such an incredible voice and his performance is fantastic - kudos to him! So until now I haven't really had to wait. But damn you Mr Butcher..you have made me an addict and I now need regular Dresden Files fixes! The sample chapters are keeping me sane and I can't wait for Turn Coat to be released! OH NO! It has a later release date in the UK aargh!!! Patience is a virtue so I have been told.. Posted by: Syl Lucas at February 20, 2009 06:16 PMFinally something to read since Princeps Furies. Can't wait to get back to Dresden Files. Posted by: Kyle at February 20, 2009 12:42 PMman Butcher you sher can start a story out. its like a bigs hary hand that reaches out of dark and grabbs you by the "!@*&!" if you know what i mean. I can't decide if it is really nice of Jim Butcher to post excerpts from his books or if it is really mean to torture us by making us want more! After reading the first two chapters I can't wait until Turn Coat comes out! I'll have to solace myself by re-reading the other Dresden novels. I just can't get enough of Harry Dresden (or the Codex Alera series either)! Posted by: Stephanie at February 19, 2009 11:30 AMDear Mr. Butcher, I am Serbian translator of your novels, and I must say that I was a rabid fan of Dresden Files years before I even dreamed of translating Storm Front and Fool Moon. I can hardly wait for April 7th. Posted by: Ivan Jovanovich at February 18, 2009 02:10 PMI was trying to imagine what the next plot would be, you took me by surprise. I never would have thought If i had a time machine i would fast-forward to april 7th Posted by: Eldarodo at February 16, 2009 12:35 AMCan't wait for this one... only problem is there isn't enough new books soon enough. Maybe now that the last Codex Alera book is coming out next year there will be 2 Dresden books a year!! Posted by: TL at February 15, 2009 11:39 PMI am so unbelievably, undeniably addicted to the Dresden files. You and me both Adam! I've been rereading Small Favor, and just recently the new short story "The Warrior" here lately. April 7th can't come a day too soon. Thank you so much for a rich wonderful storyline Jim! I can't wait to see what you've got for Harry in the future! Posted by: James Wright at February 14, 2009 09:23 PMI swear only jim can cause this much anticipation for the next book in the series i cant wait until it comes out. I guess i'll have to tide myself over by re-reading the series until it's out. Posted by: Victor Gomez at February 13, 2009 10:15 PMI love these books. I have addicted most of my family and friends to both series. It is rare to have one author produce two great series, but even more rare to have them publish two books a year. Some other authors take three to four years (GRR Martin) to get you the fix. Thanks Jim for keeping the stories coming!! Posted by: Bullzak at February 13, 2009 09:45 PMMr. Butcher, Whoa....I am such a Dresden addict.... I've been waiting on the next installment of the Dresden Files since the moment I finished reading Small Favor. I can't wait for my next fix!! PIZZA OR DEATH!!!! Can't wait to read the next chapter.... Mr. Butcher, your writing continues to inspire me to write- and addict as many as I can with your amazing stuff. Thanks for everything. Posted by: Ben "The Punisher" Mullin at February 12, 2009 12:22 AMWoo hoo! Jim, you rock. Please PLEASE keep the Harry stories coming....my entire family is addicted. MANY thanks and much love! Posted by: JJohnson at February 11, 2009 08:17 PMThe excerpt is fantastic and hits you hard. Thank you Jim for more of that Dresden book crack. Just keep them coming....I love Harry D. Yes! Need more, need more... *looks at the date* Argh, annoying that Australia will get the book later... if only I lived in America, I'd walk to the signing if I had to! From those 5 chapters I'm hooked and desperate for more.
