Strange Brew anthology released today!

The Strange Brew anthology hits stores today, featuring Jim's short story "Last Call." Check it out! Buy Strange Brew and other anthologies with Dresden Files stories in the Jim-Butcher.com store! Discuss this on the forum here! CommentsI gotta tell ya: Messin' with a mans beer 's gotta have consequences. I wouldn't want to cross Mac let alone Harry and the other clientele. Jim Butcher writes the best blue collar fantasy in the business. In a genre littered with boring look alikes. Butcher still maintains a unique and original tale with his masterful story telling. Posted by: Kassandra Trask at September 8, 2009 03:50 PMGood Butcher story! Also, the remaining stories in the anthology are actually pretty solid this time (as opposed to some of the earlier anthologies). Seems like fewer stories of higher quality - which is certainly the way to go. Makes you feel like you got value for the money. Posted by: tortfeasor at August 6, 2009 08:59 PMThis was a fantastic short. It fed my Dresden appetite briefly but I'm hungry for more! Where's the next book???? Posted by: Lisa H at July 26, 2009 03:08 PMBrilliant!! ***SPOILER****
I'm suprised anyone dared to go through Mac to mess with his beer. Posted by: Megan at July 14, 2009 12:26 PMhaha. gotta pick this up tomorrow. macs ale is nothing to trifle with Posted by: fred at July 13, 2009 10:04 PMPost a comment |
Now I have two JB books to come up with: Turncoat (when it comes out in paperback) and now the anthology!
So much of the urban fantasy genre is trite but Butcher (I mean Harry!) always delivers! For me, the most appealing thing about the Dresden Files books are the characters. They are believeable and I either love or hate them--and of course when I pass judgment on a character's character (LOL), Jim always throws a curve and makes me reconsider. I haven't read "Turncoat" yet and am already looking forward to the sequel.
