  1. Damn, that”s actualyl my due date, they better have cable in the materinty ward, otherwise this baby’s gonna have to wait her turn if she wants to be born on time!

  2. Yea to Dresden Files getting a time slot next to an established show with a huge audience. Nay, to Battlestar getting bumped to Sundays instead of the usual Scifi Friday. Does this mean that the Stargates come back in January? If they don’t, what am I going to do on Friday nights?

  3. Of my parents have TiVo and my mom’s a huge fan, but I’ve been waiting for the Dresden series longer than I’ve been waiting for this baby, so she can just wait her turn!

  4. Damn, shouldn’t have told me that. Now I’m gonna be anxious and the next two months are gonna pass so slowly

  5. The 21st of Jan!!!! All I can say is thats its a Happy B Day present to me 😀

They had Sci-Fi when I had my baby, and I just had him on Nov. 18, so I don’t think they would pull it that quickly. Good luck with yours!

  7. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to watch the TV Version, characters seem to have been disorted quite abit. Connie Murphy instead of Karrin for example; plus, their ethnicites don’t seem to fit at all. Looked like to me that the person playing Murphy would fit better for Susan.
    Oh well.

  8. You care way too much about meaningless cosmetic details of characters, dude.

  9. Personally, I think they should have put the show on Fridays. Either inbetween Eureka and Battlestar or after Battlestar. Would have kept the Friday line up and also you have two established show. That and would have had a FULL nights worth of tv shows. Which would be nice.
Either way Im definetly going to be watching on the 21! As the new Dresden files comes on and of course Battlestar Gallactica. I take it that is when Battlestar’s going to be coming back? Since this week’s the last for the fall break.

  10. I just looked at the character listing for the TV show, and i must say i’m terribly confused… isn’t murphy irish – ish? and Rodriguez a more spanish name? and morgan white? sorry no offense of course! just confused for the books tell me otherwise!!!!
    technicallities i’m sure!
I’ll be sure to watch it with eyes GLUED to the screen anyway!!
    MUCH LOVE!!!

From what Jim was saying at Dragon Con, even though at a glance you’d think it wouldn’t work, it does. Someone mentioned it in the forums. Sometimes an actor who doesn’t physically fit the part plays the part much, much better than a person who fits it physically. Watch it, you never know you may love it.

  12. Karrin instead of Connie because otherwise they would risk lawsuits since there actually is a Officer Karrin Murphy at CPD already.

  13. I am so friggin’ EXCITED!!! Of course there are always changes that have to be made for the TV version of anything…I don’t care!! I can’t wait!!! Bring it!!!

  14. I cannot wait!! Saw a preview add on Sci-Fi and am so excited! Jim this is wicked cool…rock on!
Kilso, been gone a long time, sorry man.

  15. First of all, I’m psyched about the Dresden series. The whole idea is absolutely genuis!
Second of all, if the acting can make up for the physical aspects, then who cares what they look like? If Butcher is happy with it, then we probably will be too, unless someone is so stuck on images that they forget what truly makes up a good series. (Oh, sorry. I meant great!)
Lastly, the Dresden Files totally ROCKS!
