  1. I love the Dresden books and have gotten my friends hooked as well. this volume looks excelent….cant wait!!!

  2. I can’t wait to see how Mister reacts to having a puppy around!!!! I’ve always thought there was more to him than meets the eye.

  3. Hmm.. since Angel, TS has been cancelled.. wonder who is free to be Harry? James… ohhh. and couldn’t we see David B.as one of the three wielders of swords? Giddy thinking about it…typecasting anyone?

  4. Actually…I could see DB as Michael…kinda scary, when you think about it…
    er…ahem.
Love the sample chapters. My knees quiver in fanboyish anticipation at the release of the new book.
Of course, the book releases are always depressing, cause that means another long wait before the *next* book comes out.
    Oh well.

  5. Now that Angel is staked,How about getting James
Marsters aka Spike as ERICK DRESDEN.Have you heard the audio???? James rocks.

  6. ‘kay what’s with the Erick Dresden! Bit confused, as to why they have changed the name. But yeah James Marsters for Harry… Erick… Whatever Dresden. And yeah… Audio is hot!!!

  7. Typical TV producers can’t leave well enough alone Harry… Erick…Dresden, yuck, hate the Erick. And it entirely misses the point of his being named for those old style magicians. When will they grow up or grow a brain?

  8. In Defense of the Name Eric, which for obvious reasons I’m partial to:
If they cannot use Harry as in Harry Houndini, then they can use Erik as in Erik Weiss, Harry Houndini’s birth name.
It’s an acceptable compromise as far as I’m concerned – and he’ll always be “Harry Dresden” whenever we read the novels.

  9. I love the Harry Dresden series, and I can’t stand the thought of Harry being called Erick! It would seem so strange to me – like calling Mister, “Fluffy” or something like that. I think it’s completely unnecessary and the reasoning behind it is ridiculous!

  10. Another comment…I’ve just learned that Jim Butcher stated he has enough ideas to continue writing novels in the Dresden series up to the high teens and maybe even the low twenties. YAY!!! I’m so happy to hear that! I think he’s a fabulous writer. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a series of books that I enjoy as much as these. In fact, I think I was about 14 and reading the Trixie Beldon Mysteries – LOL!! Seems like that was a hundred years ago! Anyway, thanks Mr. Butcher! Keep ’em coming!
