We have a few notes and clarifications to add to our signing tour information.

Naperville (Chicago), IL — While a ticket is not required to attend the Q&A, if fans want to get anything signed, they will need to purchase a copy of Ghost Story at the hosting bookstore to get a signing line ticket. Pre-purchase your copy of Ghost Story at Anderson’s Bookshop in person or by phone at 630-355-2665. Note also that Seating is limited, and is on a first come-first served basis.

Beavercreek, OH — I’d originally reported the wrong location for this signing. To reiterate, it will be at the Greene Shopping Center location. Signing line numbers are given out beginning at 6 pm. Please show your Books & Co receipt for Ghost Story to get a line number.

Lexington, KY — The event will take place at 2pm. Line tickets are required and available with the purchase of Ghost Story, available July 26th. Presale vouchers and line tickets available June 13th. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for Gives Back members.

We hope that our American fans have a happy and safe Fourth of July. Of course, all Butcher fans will have reason to celebrate July fifth! Ellen Datlow’s The Naked City anthology, which contains Jim Butcher’s short story “Curses,” hits stores this Tuesday! Preorder it in our store.

This weekend, The Dresden Files RPG took home two prestigious Origins Awards! Volume 1: Your Story won Best Roleplaying Game, and Volume 2: Our World won Best RPG Supplement. See the conquering heroes with their spoils of war! Congrats to the DFRPG team and to all the other winners and nominees!

The bad news: due to personal reasons, James Marsters was unable to record the Ghost Story audiobook. The good news: Smallville‘s John Glover has been brought on to tackle the project! We’re very excited to hear his take on Harry’s world. You can preorder the audiobook from our store.

AUTOGRAPHS!
New Yorkers, rejoice! Jim will be signing at Midtown Comics‘ swanky new Downtown location this Thursday, June 30th, from 4 to 6pm. The store is located at 64 Fulton Street.

With a little over a month remaining until Ghost Story‘s release, it’s time for some sample chapters! Read Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 today.

In all, we’ll be posting five sample chapters, plus bonus audio of Jim reading the first four chapters at the NY Comic Con Fan Dinner! (NOTE: You should definitely read the text version before listening to Jim read! He was reading from an earlier draft, and some aspects have changed.) It will be posted on the following schedule:

June 28th: Chapter 3
July 5th: Chapter 4, plus the audio for 1 and 2.
July 12th: Chapter 5, plus the audio for 3 and 4.
July 26th: Release day!
