Cold Days a Bestseller

Jim tweeted last night:

Congratulations, Jim! Cold Days is the 4th Dresden Files novel in a row to hit #1 on the New York Times hardcover fiction bestseller list! Thanks to all the fans for their extraordinary support.

Jim is still fighting off the last throes of stomach flu, but he was feeling well enough for celebratory Burger King last night! Hopefully, he’ll be able to reschedule one or both of the missed signings soon. We’ll get you that info as soon as we have it!

In the meantime, enjoy video from the signings in Seattle (courtesy of Suvudu) and Redondo Beach (provided by Priscellie), plus Seattle’s pre-event livestream Q&A at University Bookstore.

Chicago (Skokie) Signing Canceled

Jim’s recovering from that bout of food poisoning stomach virus, but he’s worn out and laid low — in no shape for making tonight’s Chicago-area signing, alas. We’ll post about any rescheduling information for both Kansas City and Chicago when it’s possible to know such things. Our psychics are on the fritz, and unable to predict the future just yet!

Kansas City Signing (Nov 29) Cancelled

Sorry for the last-minute notice folks — tonight’s signing in Kansas City has been canceled due to an unfortunate bout of food poisoning for our favorite author. We both trust he’ll get better, and trust that folks will understand that severe nausea doesn’t make for a good signing experience for anyone. Get well soon, Jim!

Cold Open

Cold Days is here!

Grab a copy from your favorite local independent bookstore, the Jim-Butcher.com store, or–if you’re lucky enough to live in the Seattle, L.A., Chicago, or Kansas City areas–one of Jim’s signing tour stops! If you don’t, don’t forget about this list of bookstores receiving pre-signed copies of the book.

At 3pm EST, be sure to tune into Jim’s University Bookstore Livestream Event–live from Seattle! The Seattle signing event will take place later that evening, at 7pm at the University Temple United Methodist Church.

You can also check out the latest “Jim Butcher’s Prime Cuts” clip, in which Jim answers the question, “What Dresden Files character would you least like to run into in a dark alley?”

A Reminder: Please, be courteous to your fellow fans! When discussing the book on the forum, please observe the rules on spoilery content. This book packs quite a wallop, and we don’t want anyone getting spoiled by accident.
