April 1, 2011, Runnemede, NJ – Fans of Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files, rejoice! Fool Moon #1 is headed your way the first week in April, adapting to comics the 2nd novel in Jim Butcher’s long-running and New York Times bestselling series.

Harry Dresden’s life is a mess. His top client (and close friend), Lt. Karrin Murphy no longer trusts him. Chicago’s underworld and the cops alike think he’s mobster Johnny Marcone’s supernatural enforcer. And the enigmatic White Council continues to view him with suspicion. If all that weren’t enough, a pack of werewolves have unleashed a wave of terror on the Windy City. But as is always the case when it comes to the creatures of the Nevernever, there’s far more going on than meets the eye. Before it’s all over, Harry will find himself caught between friends, enemies, and arcane forces bent on his destruction. Is it any wonder he can’t find a date?

Harry is returning to comics in a major way with a fresh look by new series artist Chase Conley (Wheel of Time: Eye of the World) and fantastic colors by Mohan!

Mark Powers, who is scripting the adaptation of Fool Moon, said of Chase’s work: “To say I’m excited about Chase’s interpretation of Harry and his world is an understatement — and I have no doubt that when readers get a look, they’ll agree. We’d hoped this morning to announce the release date for issue 1 of JIM BUTCHER’S THE DRESDEN FILES: FOOL MOON,” which was initially slated for April 6th, 2011. However, we have an even more exciting announcement! Dynamite Entertainment has made the radical decision to STOP THE PRESSES, because FOOL MOON is getting a facelift! In fact, the entire issue is being redrawn!

Many readers complained that they had difficulty recognizing Harry without his trademark hat, so fans can expect to see him wearing it in every frame. Lieutenant Murphy will be made Latina, Susan Rodriguez will be a blonde, and Bob will be a ghost, to reflect the wildly popular Dresden Files TV show. To avoid confusion, the Blue Beetle will actually be blue! And to appeal to a wider demographic, Harry will investigate occult crimes in Chicago with the help of his street-wise, talking tomcat sidekick, Mister.

Furthermore, the book’s focus on werewolves left some readers wondering where all the vampires were. The script is therefore being revised to bring in fan-favorite Thomas Raith, who will be printed with a revolutionary color-shifting iridescent ink for a truly dazzling “sparkle” effect. Young werewolf Billy Borden will be depicted similarly muscular and shirtless. Who will Tera West choose?

Look for FOOL MOON, issue 1, on April 25th, 2012!
