  1. I love that it just says “Mann will play Dresden’s trusted confidant, Bob,” without specifying that Bob is actually a skull. Tee hee.

  2. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! His voice is amazing. At least, it was incredible when he performed in the Broadway production of Frank Wildhorn’s “The Scarlet Pimpernel” alongside Douglas Sills and Christine Andreas. I’m definitely getting more and more excited as we near January.
Bob had better be a skull. I might become depressed if he isn’t. What could Bob be if he wasn’t a skull? You can’t exactly make a visible being out of air.

  3. Oh my gosh I LOVE Terrence Mann… my loves of Broadway and sci-fi/fantasy coming together yet again 🙂 As well as The Scarlet Pimpernel mentioned above, Terrence Mann was the original Broadway Javert in “Les Miserables”, was the original Leon Czolgosz (the guy who shot President McKinley) in the Broadway musical “Assassins”, and played the villainous Mr. Tavish in the cheesey-but-adorable made-for-tv musical “Mrs. Santa Claus” with Angela Lansbury… to name just a few of his musical roles… yes, I’m a huge musical theatre dork 🙂

  4. Oh!!! I totally forgot about his role as Javert. Don’t worry about being a musical theatre dork, Elizabeth; I’m going into musical theatre so it’s pretty much my life. I’ve got everything from Carousel to Lestat (amazing new musical) coming out of my ears. : – )
All of that on top of Dresden Files. I’m slowly converting my friends one at a time. I’ve even got one of the library youth advisor addicted. The TV show might go miles to convert a few who are slow to hit the shelves.

  5. Didn’t Terrence Mann play Rum Tum Tugger in the broadway cast of Cats?

  6. Yeah, Mann was Rum Tum Tugger in the original Broadway Production of Cats.

  7. He was also the Beast in the Original Broadway production. (OK, maybe I can stop reading through his resume now. : – ) )

  8. I was lucky enough to see Terrance Mann as a student when he was at the North Carolina School of the Arts and know he will be a perfect Bob. Can’t wait for the show.

  9. (Forgive me for going off-topic!)
Jessi, you’re going into musical theatre? I just finished a degree in musical theatre at Acadia University (Nova Scotia, Canada), and now I’m living in Toronto auditioning for whatever I can find, lol. How about you?

  10. Well unless things have changed in the past few months, I do recall Jim saying at DragonCon that Bob would not be a skull :/
