  1. YAY!! I’ve loved this series since the beginning and couldn’t put this one down either. Congratulations on going number one! Can’t wait until the next one even though parts of this one made me sad…

  2. Completely deserved in my humble opinion! Thanks for yet another great read Jim! After reaidng Turn Coat all I could think of was how many new twists and turns await in the future – I don’t know how you do it – but book after book you manage to keep it interesting and new!!! Congrats sir and let’s hope that number one becomes standard for all of your books!
    Best,
    David

  3. Way to go Jim yet again. This is my favourite book so far. Keep them coming FOREVER!!!
    It deserves to be #1.
    Regards

  4. Yeah this serie is great! but sad, that it in germany only is released to book three.but i bought the rest of them in english 😉

  5. Awesome news, Drezden deserves to be on #1.
I hope that sequel will be released as soon as possible.

  6. I got the book on April 7th and completed the reading by day end. All Bucther’s latest books deserve 10/10. Right now Butcher is my favorite author and I would recommend him to all.

  7. Congrats! This was a phenomenal read. I love who Harry has become throughout the years and how those around him have grown, as well. Jim has a talent for creating very real characters, whom I actually cried for at the end. He is absolutely brilliant.

  8. Congratulations. I think having a #1 seller is a writers dream. Not for the $$$ as much as for the fact that so many enjoy your work. It’s quite rewarding, yes?
    #1 bestseller for a #1 series.

  9. It is almost crazy how much I love The Dresden Files. I started from reading book 7 and when I finished the book, all I could think about was reading 1 through 6 and 8 and on. Now that I finished Turn Coat, I can’t freaking wait for the next book.
Oh and FYI the Dresden Files are the first books I have ever finished reading, let alone fell in love with. Please don’t stop making them. Try and get the TV series back too. I got that on DVD also. Oh yeah and the graphic novel and the short story. I love everything Dresden!

  10. I picked up the first Dresden files book on a lark. It was one of the best accidents that ever happened to my literary world! I love the blend of scifi magic and detective noir, and the character of Harry is just damn likeable. I have loved the evolution of the life of Harry and his compatriots, and the continued excitement of each novel had me burning through the first 8 novels at a weekly pace. Now,to savor the moment(and not have to wait months between my Dresden fix) i only allow one chapter per week.
I enjoy the comic adaptations and had high hopes for the tv series. I truly hope that made for tv movies or even a cartoon might be in store forthe future! Until then , when are Harry Dresden figures going to be made?!> Keep up the GREAT work Jim and congrats on being number 1!

  11. What a phenomenal series! I have spread the word to everyone I know. I even have my father reading the tenebrous tales of Harry Dresden. If you knew my father, you would understand how crazy that is! That being said, The Dresden Files appeal to so many different people because of the depth of character created in Harry and the realistic approach given to a world that seems so foreign. I anticipate every chapter!
Congratulations on Turn Coat making #1, Jim!!!

  12. Another Excellent book, I read the first book as a recommendation from amazon and have not looked back, only trouble is weve got to wait for the next installment……
    Excellent more please

  13. Another great book. I read the book and enjoyed it so much that I just bought the audio. My family are listening to instead of watching TV.
Jim have overcome Orson Scott Card as my favorite write. Carrie Vaugh is a close second so don’t get too cocky Mr. Butcher.
I love the detailed characters. Toot Toot is da bomb!!!

  14. Love the book. Outstanding characters that just keep getting better. Hopeing for video game. An Sci fi channel was dumb for letting your show go it was just getting good. Maybe you will get another shot. Keep writing and we’ll keep reading.

  15. I can’t believe I overlooked The Dresden Files for so long. I started reading them on a recommendation from a friend just over a month ago, and now I’ve already finished Turn Coat and I’m dying for more.
Jim Butcher is without doubt one of the best writers on the face of the earth right now. Right now I’m off to pick up the first book of Codex Alera. Thank you, Jim, for restoring my faith in fantasy as a genre. I was starting to think I’d need a new obsession.

  16. Any book in this series by Jim Butcher is a great read. I hadn’t picked up a book in over a year when my dad gave me Storm Front and said “Try it.” A month later and I have read every book, it practically consumes all the time I’m not at work. In fact, I’m tired at work most of the time because I stay up too late every night for the simple fact that I can’t put down the damn book to go to sleep! I can’t wait for the next one and until then I’m starting on the Codex Alera series. Thanks for getting me back into reading Jim, your the reason I remembered how captivating a damn good book can be!

  17. This series hands down beats any other I’ve read, I was actually giddy going to get it and was reading it through town, at the bus-stop, on the bus, during dinner and actually on the phone aswell !! I’m not even sure when they hung-up? 🙂 But do these even get seen? Coz the series was like someone elses interpretation of it which made it bad, and they should make the books into kind of a dark or dark humour movie series. and why in turn coat dya think ‘stars and stones’ is trying to usurp ‘hells bells’ rightfull place, it sounds like it came from ‘the sword in the stone’ the animated move 🙁 too generic. but anyway frikkin awesome on the series.

  18. Keep em comming! I cant wait for the next book in the series to be released.

  19. Congrats on Turn Coat, Another great book that was impossible to put down once started. Looking froward to the next adventure…. Changes.
Thanks for making reading a Treat!!
    Chris
