Worldbuilders and Round 2 of Goodreads

WORLDBUILDERS

Patrick Rothfuss’ Worldbuilders fundraiser is ramping up!  This annual charity drive raises funds for Heifer International, which helps people raise themselves up out of poverty and starvation. It promotes education, sustainable agriculture, and local industry all over the world.  You can read about how it works here.

Among their current auctions are several covetable pieces from Badali Jewelry: Harry’s ruby pentacle amulet, Force Ring, and Winter Court earrings!  Badali Jewelry are also generously offering online purchasers $10 off shipping and donating 10% of sales to Worldbuilders with the code WBLD15.

Subterranean Press have donated twenty copies of their signed, numbered, illustrated, limited edition copies of Jim’s Working for Bigfoot to the Worldbuilders lottery.  Every $10 you donate gives you another chance to win this hilarious collection of three short stories in which Bigfoot is Harry’s client.  They’re also auctioning off a complete set of everything they published in 2015!  This includes Working for Bigfoot and their special edition printing of Dead Beat.

There’s LOADS of Jim-related awesomeness yet to be announced, so keep an eye on this newsletter and Pat’s blog!

DFCO Announcement and Myths & Legends Con

DRESDEN FILES CO-OP

Evil Hat Productions, award-winning publishers of the Dresden Files RPG, are now working on a Dresden Files cooperative card game!

According to their press release, “It’s designed by Eric B. Vogel, who you might recognize based on his excellent work on Don’t Turn Your Back and Zeppelin Attack. The game allows you to play Harry Dresden and his friends as they take on the cases from the novels in the ultimate what-if scenario—what if Harry was on the scene with allies who weren’t there in the original story? The core game includes Harry, Murphy, Susan, Michael, and the Alphas and plays through the first five novels. Expansions are a possibility! Designs are already well underway for more series characters and more novels.”

They’ll be launching a Kickstarter in 2016.  If you want to make sure you get playtest/Kickstarter/release information, sign up for Evil Hat’s newsletter.  Follow their tumblr for art sneak peeks!

Aeronaut’s Windlass a Bestseller! Plus Status Update.

Great news!  The Aeronaut’s Windlass debuted at #5 on the New York Times Fiction Bestseller List and #7 on USA Today!  Congrats to Jim. If you haven’t gotten your copy yet, snag one in Hardcover, Kindle, or Audio from our store!

Also, we’re thrilled to announce that Jim has agreed to a Virtual Signing for Priscilla Spencer’s Cinder Spires map posters!  A Virtual Signing is essentially a custom pre-order:  You place your order, indicating who you want the poster(s) personalized to (like “To Melissa”), then in early December, Jim and Priscilla will sign all the posters at once, and she’ll stick them in the mail.  Just in time for the December holidays!  All Virtual Signing orders must be placed by December 1st.  You can also purchase signed posters of the Codex Alera map, with no preorder necessary.

With the holidays coming up, here’s a list of what Jim’s been up to lately, and what we can expect looking forward.
