2 NEW ORIGINAL DRESDEN FILES GRAPHIC NOVELS TO HIT STORES IN NEXT TWO YEARS

May 29th, 2014, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite Entertainment is pleased to announce its expanded agreement with New York Times Bestselling Jim Butcher to create two additional all-new original graphic novels based on The Dresden Files.

Dynamite published the best-selling Original Graphic Novel “Ghoul Goblin”, an all-new, original story that takes place in the official continuity of the Dresden Files novels, subsequent to the events in the 2nd novel “Fool Moon”, to critical and commercial acclaim in 2013. The Ghoul Goblin gn was a top seller over the 2013 Holidays, and continues to move copies at a brisk pace online and in brick and mortar stores like Barnes and Noble.

Currently in the works is “War Cry” another original story taking place four months after the events depicted in Dead Beat, the 7th novel in the Dresden Files series. The first issue of War Cry ships next month, and the graphic novel will be published later this year.

Two more original Dresden Files graphic novels will be coming in 2015 and 2016. The details around the creative teams and stories in each graphic novel will be announced at a later date.

“We’re happy to see Jim Butcher and Dynamite developing more graphic novels together. Ghoul Goblin turned out terrific and it sounds like War Cry is shaping up to be a winner! We’re excited to see what great stories these new projects will bring to Jim’s fans,” said Jennifer Jackson Vice President of Donald Maass Literary Agency and Butcher’s literary agent.

“I couldn’t be more pleased to announce our new agreement with Jim expanding our current agreement to release a trilogy of Original Graphic Novels,” said Nick Barrucci CEO/Publisher of Dynamite. “The response to Ghoul Goblin was incredible, and we expect the two upcoming graphic novels to build on our success. Jim is a brilliant writer who knows both comics and prose, and has helped us by working hand in hand with Mark (Powers) to ensure that these are the best Graphic Novels available in both the comics fans and his prose fan base. We look forward to continuing the series of Original Graphic Novels.”

And be on the lookout for Skin Game, the latest Dresden Files novel, published by Roc Books and released to stores everywhere May 27th!
