Hunter’s Moon by C.T. Adams & Cathy Clamp

Even an assassin can be surprised… Tony Giodone grew up in a world of predators and prey. He was one of the mafia’s top enforcers and is now a respected freelancer. He thought nothing could shock him more than a real-life werewolf ripping out his throat and leaving him for dead. Until he became one of them. Now, a new client has asked him to undertake an unusual assignment; one that makes even him sit up and take notice. The client wants him to kill her! Can Tony avoid falling in love with the woman he is scheduled to murder, or will his feelings for the one woman that can accept the beast he’s become make him more likely to end her life?

LAURELL K. HAMILTON – “I read the book in one sitting. A world this enjoyable deserves more than one visit. This book has some new twists in the werewolf’s tail that were very cool!”

AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION – “This unusual, artfully constructed and enticing blend of horror and romance will have wide appeal with its male point of view, intensely sexy story and caperlike action.”

ROUNDTABLE REVIEWS – “Reading each page I could see in my mind the story unfolding and it was like watching a really good movie – all I needed was soda and popcorn.”

BLETHER – “Hunter’s Moon has a little bit of something for everyone. There’s romance. There’s comedy. There’s action, and there’s intrigue. By far, however, the best part of this book is the characters themselves…they’re highly original, hilarious, entertaining and add extra flare to the story.”

Books by Jim’s Friends: Jess Hartley

In Northern Twilight by Jess Hartley

Long ago, in the First Age, mortals became Exalted by the Unconquered Sun
and other celestial gods. These demi-gods were Princes of the Earth and
presided over a golden age of unparalleled wonder. But like all utopias, the
age ended in tears and bloodshed…”

In an epic setting rich with exotic atmosphere, Swan, a dedicated diplomat
with an eye towards the future, crosses paths with Arianna, a sorcerous
ice-maiden bearing years of grudges with her. Together, they are challenged
by brutal hunters and savage monsters but the greatest of the challenges
facing them is their new destiny.

In Northern Twilight is the third in a new open ended series of stand-alone
fiction novels set in White Wolf’s Exalted universe.

“…descriptions are strong and vivid… there’s much to admire…” –
Jacqueline Carey, author of “Kushiel’s Legacy” describing Hartley’s writing.

“Yes, yes, it’s an intriguing story in a richly realized world with gorgeously vivid action scenes, but that’s not important. The IMPORTANT thing here is that I get my hands on the next one.” – Jim Butcher

Introducing: Books by Jim’s Friends

Hi all,
We’re looking at adding a section to the store of this site focusing on books written by members of the Jim Butcher fan community. If you have a suggestion of a book we should add, drop us a line (or comment on this entry) and let us know!
Today’s inaugural entry is C.E. Murphy’s Urban Shaman, due out in June of 2005.

Joanne Walker has three days to learn to use her shamanic powers and save the world from the unleashed Wild Hunt.

No worries. No pressure. Nevermind the lack of sleep, the perplexing new talent for healing herself from fatal wounds, or the cryptic, talking coyote who appears in her dreams.

And if that’s not bad enough, in the three years Joanne’s been a cop, she’s never seen a dead body–but she’s just come across her second in three days.

It’s been a bitch of a week.

And it isn’t over yet.
