  1. Wow, Jim…you REALLY outdone yourself on FLF. The Codex Alera is by-far the best-written, most descriptive, amazingly twisting storyline that I’ve ever read. From the very beginning of FOC all the way through FLF, there were tiny details that showed up that most authors wouldn’t bother to recount. Everything tied in so PERFECTLY at the end (though I want MORE!!). The characters were very “human”…I almost feel like I know them on a personal level. Like Fidelias and his internal struggles…that’s what makes him such an amazing character. He’s a man that wants to do what’s right even though he knows that it’s not what’s “right”…genius…absolute genius…

  2. Jim, the series was phenomenal. The first book, while it had it’s holes (as every book does inevitably), was an incredibly driven look into unique, vivid world. I enjoyed every book, devouring them whole within hours of purchasing them. I hope that the future sees more books back in this world. Canea, Alera, the Icemen’s territory (I forget the name) and all the places in between… Fantastic read. What are the chances of a follow-up series?

  3. I hope the Dresden series NEVER ends. Harry was, is, and always shall be The Man!

  4. Like many other readers, i am immensely saddened to see this series end. It has been one of my favorite series ever since i read the first book. I wish it had gone on far longer, like the Dresden Files.

  5. FLF WAS AN AMAZING READ!!!!!! I’M SAD THAT THE STORY HAS ENDED BUT IT WAS AN AMAZING RIDE WITH TAVI AND THE GANG…..NOW, WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL APRIL FOR HARRY…I LOVEEEEEEEEE HARRY!!!
THANK YOU JB AND PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING!

I WATCHED THE DRESDEN FILES FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS WEEKEND AND I CAN’T BELIEVE THE SHOW WAS CANCELED. SO, MANY GOOD SHOWS GET CANC. AFTER THEIR FIRST SEASON…

  6. Finally finished FLF and I loved it! The same great sense of humor that animates The Dresden Files can be seen in a much more refined setting in this phenomenal novel. Bravo Jim! I’m always a loyal fan and can’t wait for Changes!

  7. from the first book i loved the codex, really i loved the idea of the furies. Maybe you could jump ahead in the future to when Tavi is older and has the relm mostly together struggling with all the feral furies
I shall miss Tavi greatly. i hope you reconsider stopping the series.
